Join the knowledgable volunteers from the non-profit Westport Astronomical Society every Wednesday night from 8-10 pm (weather permitting) for a free star party!

On clear nights, WAS takes out the BIG telescopes to view the Moon, planets, comets, galaxies, nebula and your Universe.

WAS has 2 main telescopes; The Dome Observatory houses a 12.5″ Newtonian telescope and the lawn regularly hosts theHUGE 25″ diameter Obsession telescope, the largest in Connecticut available to the public.

*** This is a nighttime outdoor event and it's always a recommended to dress warmer than you think and there will be nothing to see until it's dark. Please do not arrive until after sunset.
