Please join us us on August 17th for a memorable evening with an Artist Talk and Opening Reception celebrating Justin Kim's solo show , "Questions of Travel: Recent Landscapes"

Justin Kim’s mixed media landscapes on paper draw from personal experiences and specific locales of New York City, the coast of Cape Cod, the desert valley of California and Western Massachusetts. Grounded in the tradition of painting but with a contemporary sensibility and modern take on the American Landscape, Justin Kim’s unique style and draftsman-like technique renders carefully composed perceptions of the landscape with a simplicity and purity of jewel-like color intensity.

Born in Hartford, CT, Mr. Kim received a B.A. from Yale and an MFA from the American University in Washington, D.C. He interned with the artist David Hockney, has taught at Yale, Dartmouth, Smith College and Deep Springs College in CA. The recipient of several residencies, he has exhibited both regionally and nationally.
