Through photography, David Sussan discovers a deeply personal connection to storytelling—unfiltered, instinctive, and entirely his own. Sussan embraces the freedom of capturing moments as they unfold, whether in the vast landscapes or the quiet intensity of a subject’s gaze. His work seeks to preserve the essence of everyday life with honesty and depth. Each portrait tells a story of survival, dignity, and the human experience in its purest form. Sussan’s landscapes are expansive and atmospheric, while his portraits capture raw emotion and personal narratives. He is particularly drawn to the simplicity and emotions of daily life—a passenger content, a child’s playful stare, or a sudden look of defiance. Travel has served as one of Sussan’s greatest teachers, leading him to Bangladesh and India to study portrait photography under the GMB Akash Institute of Photography. The proceeds of these workshops support basic education for underprivileged children, raising awareness and driving social change. Being part of this initiative has been both humbling and a defining chapter in his artistic story. We invite you to experience the world through David Sussan’s lens, embarking on a personal journey to witness in their unspoken truths.
