The Center for Contemporary Printmaking (CCP) presents 25 Years of
Monothon: Silver Anniversary Exhibition, on view from Sunday, September 8, 2024 through
Sunday, October 20, 2024 in the Center’s Grace Ross Shanley Gallery at our main studio
building in Mathews Park in Norwalk. 25 Years of Monothon includes prints by over two dozen
artists and printers from CCP’s artist community who have been part of CCP’s Monothon
program during the past 25 years. It will also include a timeline featuring photographs from 25
years of printmaking sessions held during past CCP’s Monothons. Descriptive panels will
provide explanations of the people involved, detail how the event works, and display prints
included in this year’s Monothon program.
To learn more about the prints in this year’s Monothon, CCP will be holding a coffee talk,
free and open to the public on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the
Grace Ross Shanley Gallery. The Monothon concluding event, the Auction and Party, will be
held October 26th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at CCP’s gallery and studios during which prints
from this year’s Monothon print week will be available during a silent auction followed by a live
auction of artwork and other prizes, including some editioned prints, such as a lithograph by Will
Barnett and a pair of recent etchings with hand coloring by Richard Haas. Tickets to the
Auction and Party can be purchased in advance for $65 online at
https://contemprints.org/monothon/auction/ or for $75 at the door. CCP would like to thank all of
the printers, artists, print studios, and our community of volunteers who have contributed their
time and talents over the past quarter century.
