Join us in the Bendel Galleries for a lecture with fine art conservator Troy Amuso of Troy Fine Art Services in Fairfield, CT. Troy began his career in 1977, working under the famed Dutch art conservator Yan Vanderviver. He will walk us through the fascinating world of art restoration, starting with the common environmental dangers to paintings and ending with some of the treatments he uses to return paintings to good health.

Troy will use visual examples of his process, including work he has done to paintings from our permanent collection. The talk will be approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A. Afterwards, you’ll be able to view our current exhibition Discovering Color: Two Decades of Abstraction. Refreshments will be served.
