Yoga in the Park

  • Waveny Park 677 South Avenue New Canaan, CT, 06840 United States (map)

Through our yoga practice what we come back to is this very palpable connection to a potent force of abundance within. A force that pushes us to change, forces us to clean out, encourages us to see clearly; it soothes and befriends us. Sometimes I remember and drink from it, sometimes I ignore, forget or resist it, but I always come back with with more conviction each time.

Sankalpa is Sanskrit for "vow or commitment or aim" and refers to the potential power opened by clearly defining and focusing on a chosen goal and letting it steep and marinate deep inside, where everything vibrates in rich potentiality and possibility. And then the teaching that says churn your awareness in that beginning place threw the regular practice of yoga causing this richness, and intensity of possibility to spill out into actualization, and into manifestation. Sankalpa is a practice of giving life to these possibilities.

Please bring masks, any yoga props, water, poetry, music, ideas for discussion. Together we can kick up some yoga, conversation, and whatever else your heart desires.
