On Saturday, May 8th at 7:00 pm, Beechwood Arts will present the second AMPLIFY Festival at the Westport Library. AMPLIFY features the voices of Black artists presenting music, song, and theatrical works. To register, click here.

The AMPLIFY performers are:

Amadi Azikiwe and Tia Allen Duets: Azikiwe is a violist, violinist, conductor, and Music Director for the Harlem Symphony Orchestra.  Tia Allen is a violist with the Harlem Chamber Players.

Alica and Brian Cobb: Alica is an award-winning visual artist, fine body painter, and art educator who will be painting her brother, Brian. Their spoken word piece, SKIN, is about the many complexities in the human psych and about growing up mixed race and Black in America.

Iyaba Ibo Mandingo and Heshima Moja: Mandingo is an award-winning painter, poet, playwright, and actor.  He will be performing with renowned musician and composer Heshima Moja.
