  • C.Parker Gallery 409 Greenwich Avenue Greenwich, CT, 06830 United States (map)

On September 23rd, a musical legend turns 70 years old and to celebrate C. Parker Gallery, 409 Greenwich Avenue, in Greenwich, CT is exhibiting a never-before seen collection of Bruce Springsteen photographs, gold records, signed memorabilia and artwork featuring “The Boss.” The exhibit, entitled, “Growin’ Up – Bruce Springsteen at 70” opens on Thursday, September 19th and runs through Sunday, September 29th.

Some of the many highlights of “Growin’ Up – Bruce Springsteen at 70” include rare unpublished 1972 – 1975 photographs from Bruce’s earliest days performing in the Philadelphia area from the late photographer and Springsteen friend, Phil Ceccola. In addition, award winning photographer Debra Rothenberg, author of the book, “Bruce Springsteen In Focus 1980 – 2012” will showcase her acclaimed photographs. No other professional photographer has been behind the camera at Springsteen concerts for as many years as Rothenberg. Other Springsteen photographers include works from René van Diemen, Jeff Ross, Rocco Coviello, Guy Aceto, David Denenberg and others.

All eras of Springsteen’s rise to superstardom will be highlighted in this exhibit from his early bearded days where in one photograph Bruce is shown wearing shoes that don’t match to his “All-American” look of Born in the USA, to today. “Growin’ Up – Bruce Springsteen at 70” features over a dozen photographers plus an incredibly archived personal collection from a 40+ year Springsteen collector with autographed items and rare memorabilia. Party like the Boss at C. Parker Gallery, 409 Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, CT beginning Thursday, September 19th.
