Brubecks Plays Brubeck

DARIUS, CHRIS & DAN BRUBECK with Special Guest DAVE O’HIGGINS

Seldom does one find a family as prolific and talented as the Brubecks. Four of the late, great Dave Brubeck’s six children are professional musicians. Today we are joined by three of them: Darius, the eldest Brubeck son, is a jazz pianist, composer, educator and bandleader. Chris (a familiar face to our friends at the Wilton Library) is an award-winning composer, and superlative trombonist and bassist. Dan is a Grammy-nominated drummer known for his exciting solos. For this performance, the Brubecks are joined by internationally known U.K. saxophonist/composer Dave O’Higgins to pay tribute to our beloved Dave Brubeck.
