Frugal Fairfield is about having fun without breaking the bank. It’s about living in an area where some of the richest people in the world live and living well but not spending a lot. I have been doing this informally for many years. This website is just about making it easier to share the “wealth” broadly, easily, so we can all enjoy.
There are many websites serving the need to save. The usual suspects worth checking are Groupon, Living Social, Amazon Local but don't overlook Sweet Jack local deals. You can save on many things including: clothes, electronics, restaurants, theater tickets, concerts and much more.
Ways to save on and off line
For those of us who love quality leather bags, accessories, sometimes even clothing come to the famous tent sale (discounts typically start around 40%; small items can be as low as $10). Many people travel far and wide for this sale. The sale has moved online due to COVID 19

In the mood for sushi but don't want to spend a lot? Kazu, a mainstay in South Norwalk for many years, has a great happy hour special. Monday-Thursday 5-7 p.m. It features a variety of specials priced $4-6 including sushi, skewers, tempura, edaname, dumplings and more. Also drink specials. Great authentic Japanese food (not a chain place).

Groupon has many categories worth checking out. They also often run deals like the one here which offer extra savings. When buying goods always check other sites such as Amazon to see if the "deal" is really that good.
Here's a link to get started.

Top quality knives and kitchen accessories at great prices. Bring in coupon for 20% off during this sale.
So you work and you want to dress appropriately but you also want to go to yoga or Pilates after work. Save yourself the problem of bringing work out clothes with these chic pants. https://www.betabrand.com/referrals/landing/friend?r=45h
Check the Sweet deals section of the Sweet Jack website. Sweet Jack tends to be national deals but in Sweet Deals you can focus on Bridgeport, Danbury etc. Be sure to check the "last chance" deals. Warning: if the place goes out of business you are out of luck.
A newer player in the deal game Amazon also offers deals on restaurants, concerts and getaways. These deals sometimes sell out so act quickly if you want something.
Living Social was the first deal site to appear in the landscape. Worth checking out too. I have spent more money on Groupon as it tends to offer me more of what I like.
Love Live Music? The Greenwich Town Party is a great, family friendly event. This year the headliner is Eric Clapton. Last year the lineup included Steely Dan and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. In the past I have seen Tedeschi Trucks, John Fogerty, Hall & Oates, CJ Chenier, Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, Sharon Jones, James Taylor, Michael Franti, The Fab Faux and many more. Since tix are only sold to Greenwich residents and businesses, and they often sell out, a great way to get in is to volunteer. Sign up now. Typically an easy volunteer job--just 4 hours and you're done. 5/26/18

Women For Women
Women for Women started on Pine Creek Beach 12 years ago with the objective to bring fabulous women together in a relaxed setting. Now at 2000+ members that objective remains the same throughout the winter months.
Our meeting dates may vary but we try for the first Monday of every month. So please mark your calendars and bring your favorite beverage and appetizer to share it adds to whatever the host location might offer.
We meet the first Monday of the month starting at 5:30 pm. During the summer June thru Sept on the beach.
When we're not on the beach, we meet at local businesses. Our hosts have been at our members homes, local businesses, LaTaberna in the brickwalk, Mama Janes in Southport, The Fairfield Circle Inn, Wellness Center in Fairfield, Zen Ride Spin Studio to name a few.
